Campaign Staff Needs

We've got a candidate, treasurer, and web site designer. We could also use people willing take on these responsiblities.

1. Campaign Manager

Flesh out the campaign plan, schedule the candidate's time, and coordinate the campaign as a whole.

2. Volunteer Coordinator

Recruit volunteers and call them to help with campaign activities such as literature drops and fundraisers.

3. Fundraiser

Call, and make the candidate call, potential contributors for a donation. Organize house parties and other fundraising events.

4. Field Coordinator

Develop a plan for targetting voters for phone and doorstep canvassing, including phone lists and election district walking lists for canvassers.

Volunteer Activities


1. Hosting a House Meeting

Invite family, friends, and neighbors over to meet the candidate, talk about the issues, and raise some money for the campaign.

2. Phone Canvassing

Phone canvassing is calling voters, telling them briefly about Howie's campaign and platform, and asking them if they will vote for Howie. Near and on Election Day, we will be calling the supporters we identify this way to enourage them to vote for Howie.

3. Doorstep Canvassing

Doorstep canassing is going door to door to tell voters about Howie's campaign and platform and asking them if they will vote for Howie.? Near and on Election Day, we will be calling the supporters we identify this way to enourage them to vote for Howie.

4. Fundraising

This campaign will be financed by lots of small contributions from lots of supporters. In addition to house meeting, we will raise funds at fundraising events and by calling supporters.

5. Leafletting

We need folks to hand out campaign literature at work, in their neighborhoods, and at events. We will also have days where will drop literature door to door across the city.

6. Issue Research

We need folks to help research statistics, legal issues, current policies, etc. regarding the issues facing the city.
