"You say you want a revolution...well you know...we all want to change the world"

Syracuse - In the presidential campaign, Republican John McCain has criticized Democrat Barack Obama for associating with a "domestic terrorist," 1960s radical William Ayers.
But while Obama's campaign has said the accusation is ridiculous, revolution was undeniably in the air during a 25th Congressional District debate last week.
In the WCNY-TV studio, Democrat Dan Maffei was branding the Green Populist candidate Howie Hawkins as an unrealistic revolutionary and Republican Dale Sweetland was affirming a revolution is just what is needed in Washington D.C.
Here's excerpts from the interesting exchange:
Maffei: "My opponent Mr. Hawkins offers many interesting economic ideas. The problem is Upstate New York can't wait for a revolution to occur before we create new jobs to make sure our families stay here."
Hawkins: "It's not a revolution. It's new priorities. We have to cut the military spending."
Sweetland: "When you campaign and knock on doors and shake hands with people here they tell you Washington doesn't work the way it should work...(Maffei) says we can't wait for a revolution. He's right. We can't. We need to have a revolution. We need to have a system that is more transparent in Washington."
