CSEA ENDORSES HAWKINS FOR SYRACUSE COMMON COUNCIL

E. SYRACUSE – Colleen Wheaton, Central Region president of CSEA, the labor union representing many City of Syracuse workers, today announced she was “proud to throw the full support of CSEA” behind Howie Hawkins, running for the District 4 seat on the Syracuse Common Council.

Wheaton said Howie Hawkins had earned CSEA’s endorsement, especially given his longtime history of advocating on behalf of workers and community issues.

“CSEA Central Region 5 is very proud to endorse Howie Hawkins for Syracuse Common Council District 4. We are confident Howie is the candidate for the middle class, working men and women and those less fortunate. He will bring an independent and thoughtful no-nonsense approach to the Syracuse Council, something we need during these tough economic times.”

“We’re urging all union members to get out on Tuesday, November 5, and vote in the General Election. We hope they will take into consideration our endorsement when they get to the polls.”
