SYRACUSE, NY – The Green Party of Onondaga County will be celebrating National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 24 by encouraging Syracusans to register and vote in this year's local elections.
To draw attention to their voter registration drive, Green Party members will be pedaling the party's industrial scale tricycle hauler decked out with campaign placards on Marshall Street from 11am until 1pm. The voter registration drive will be on Marshall Street in order to reach SU and ESF students who may not yet be registered or not registered locally. Students spend most of the year at their college address, and Greens are urging students who attend college in Syracuse to register and vote in Syracuse.
Green Party organizers will ride the Pedel Power Green Trike from their office at 2013 East Genesee to the corner of Marshall and Crouse with a large supply of voter registration forms. Students and others not registered or not registered locally are urged to come by between 11 am and 1 pm to meet local Greens and register to vote in Syracuse.
The Pedal Power Green Trike will make stops in other neighborhood locations throughout the day to urge residents to register and vote. The event is organized by the Green Party of Onondaga County.
